Second Star Wars C-3PO Head Up For Auction

Have you ever heard the phrase: 'two heads are better than one'? For collectors of Star Wars memorabilia that might be the case.

A movie-worn C-3PO head from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return Of The Jedi is expected to fetch up to 1.5 million dollars at auction in Los Angeles.

It's the second C-3PO head from the original Star Wars films to go on sale in recent months.

The golden helmets that light-up are from the collection of actor Anthony Daniels who plays C-3PO in the movies and television shows.

"I hope these wonderful pieces of memorabilia find new homes where they will be displayed, respected and enjoyed by fans, who now have a chance to own a genuine piece of Star Wars history," said Daniels.

The first 3PO head that went on sale was worn during the first Star Wars film, and sold for 1 million dollars in November 2023.

Other items from film and TV can be bought in-person or online at the LA auction, which has been organised by movie memorabilia selling company, Propstore.

Pieces include Wolverine's leather jacket and shirt from the first X-Men movie.

Marty McFly's guitar from Back To The Future could fetch up to $300,000. While Harry Potter's wand from Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban is estimated to sell for between $20,000 - $30,000.

The auction will take place between 12 and 14 March.
